i wrote a paper when I was a junior in college called "Eros and Violence." it won an award and also sent me to a graduate conference. i just revisited it and, quite frankly, i was wrong. love isn't violent. love is banal.
i think this is why i like Rory and Logan on the gilmore girls. i know that most of you are probably Rory-Jess fanatics (and really, who wouldn't be? jess can steal powers! and he's a dreamboat captain). however, at least Rory and Logan weren't just a cheap rip off of every westernized idealization of romantic love since the beginning of time.

i ummm missed every season of that show. i didn't like how they talked. so unrealistic, scripted, and fast. if a teenage girl is going to talk fast, she's going to have lots of 'ummms' and 'likes' in there.
but this love thing intrigues. maybe should give 'the girls' a second chance.
grey's season premier next thurs. talk about another annoying show. only, i do watch that one.

did you vote for dean? also, gilmore girls is simply an awesome show. the number one complaint is that they talk to much, but i think that it makes sense seeing as how the show is so highly caffeinated (sp?). you should give it another shot.

1. gg tops the list for most words/min of any television show. the rapidity of mindless chatter is what made me love/watch it for the first 3-4 seasons, but this last one didn't do anything for me (gg burnout?). ER and west wing are next on the list, i think.
2. can't believe you have a gilmore poll running. i voted for dean just to spite you. and because i love dean.
